Do you go to flea markets to find things for yourself or do you look specifically to resell?

Great place for people watching
cheap junk
Flea Markets r great especially the ones in big cities b/c u can find lots of nice things including furniture, clothes, jewelry and other such things. If u have alot of things r can get your hands on things other people do not want u can resell at some reasonable prices and make some big bucks.
flea markets in jersey are crack a lackin, son! cheap incense, pickles in a barrel, mix tapes, cheesy crowds to people watch, greasy corn dogs….what more could you want for a cheap @ss great time?!
I buy for myself, cause it seems too much a pain to get something used inexpensively and try to resell it, unless it is actually worth something, like a 1955 Startocaster or other valuble items that are underpriced.
You can get some cool things at flea markets. I bought a used computer CRT monitor for $10. It has a max resolution of 1024×768. Pretty small by today’s standards, but it works great and have had it a long time.
It is also a good place to find rare items or rare video games. People are oblivious to their values. Final Fantasy III for Super Nintendo at EB or GameStop goes for $150 used. You can get it for practically nothing at a flea market, that is, if you can find one, or if nobody else gets it first.
Great way to spend a few hours. You never know what you’ll find.
depends on the cost of the fleas.
I go to find things for myself and gifts for others. Im not very good at finding antiques or collectors items that are worth money. But I know a lot of people who have found items of value at Turtle creek and Traders World ( exit 29 off of I-75 in ohio). I am going there today. I would also never buy Produce or pets from these places.
I buy more than I sell, I usually use something until it is worthless and then recycle it or toss it. If it is something I just don’t enjoy as much as I thought, I would rather give it away than monkey around trying to sell it…good karma too!
As far as anything like this goes, if you have the money, the space, and if you know what you are looking for…or looking for that perfect thing for a gift or a space…great.
If you are just shopping for “retail therapy” and mindlessly browsing, chances are you live a very unhappy cluttered life. I know because I have done it before.
The low prices at flea markets look very friendly to people who need junk around them. But you don’t just pay with your wallet, and collecting clutter isn’t just a one time expense. If your clutter is out of hand, you are dealing with emotional chaos that can really affect your mental health. And financially speaking, owning a lot of possessions often means you “need” much more house and are working too hard to accumulate, store it, only to seek things to help you relax/cope/make you happy…see the problem swing back to the beginning?
The trick is to shop wisely for whatever, wherever…and not get your happiness from stuff.
find things. Specifically we go for razor blades (way cheaper than store) Avon (there’s a counter there) and electronic accessories (chargers, etc) I once got a monitor from there for $20, it lasted a year (till I could afford a flat). I also have a costume jewelry lady there EVERY TIME i wear her stuff, I get compliments!!! Its out mini-mid-morning outing.
the huge one we have in Oklahoma City is absolutely fabulous! its fun to see all the vendors/stands in/outside of the building. had a great time with my daughter & son-inlaw the day i spent with them.
find things I like, I love them. Everything there is cheap as hell. I just got a boombox for my Ipod for 35 bucks thats 99 in the stores and it works perfect.
I luv, luv, luv flea markets! They are the perfect place to find home decorating treasures.
personally i like flea mkts i find lots of things i need at a very decent price . things i would otherwise have to go without there is a very good one at denver colorado and i used to go to that one constantly
Some are O.Kay, You can find some good bargains. But somethings are only as good as the price you paid for them (cheap!)!!!
As an interior decorator, I buy a lot in flea market.
You can buy cheap and unique pieces that you can restore, repaint. I buy for myself or for clients.
